Meet Zig.

If ZigZag were a human he would be the ultimate hunk of an athlete that every girl in highschool daydreamed of. He's a bit of a rebel, but so dreamy and so, so sweet...

Zig was found chasing cars in the middle of a busy intersection and suddenly found himself in one of them! He was brought into rescue and adopted out, but found himself back into rescue a year later (but not by his own fault).

To say that Zig is strong- willed, determined, and prey-driven would be an understatement. He lives to run and hunt anything he can find. He can and will literally run for hours on end and when he sees something he wants, he will stop at nothing to get it.

Zig has the potential to become a fun agility dog, as he loves to try anything at least once and enjoys working for cookies - as long as there are no animals or cats around to zone in on! He loves to swim and retrieve and may make an easy going dock diving companion with a bit more exposure. He has been started on birds and shows MUCH enthusiasm. He has a moderate range in the field, but is starting to venture out further the more he is worked.

With Zig's drive and will, he would do best in a home that is GSP savvy and in one that is not afraid to give direction and make Zig work for a living. Zig requires a healthy amount of daily exercise and training to truly be a happy and content pup. With that said, he is a complete lover boy and also very sensitive at times. No one is a stranger to Zig, and every lap is an opportunity to snuggle. He loves to lay in a lap and groan and moan himself to sleep.

Zig behaves well in his crate and rides well in his crate in the car. He is a bit of a "talker" and "moaner" and does need the occassional reminder of what it means to be quiet. Zig does well with both male and female dogs, but does like to play rough. He would love nothing more than to snack on a cat or other small critter, so it would be wise for him to live in a home that doesn't offer the temptation. Zig is still unsure about small children, and is a bit bouncy and at times too mouthy for a household that has them.

Zig is neutered, on heartworm preventative, and is up to date on vaccines. It is estimated that he is around 3 yrs old. Zig is also being treated for Lyme disease.
